The F&S Peer Review process takes random samples of interpretations, provides analysis and records the result promptly and correctly for all procedures. The team frequently collaborates on interesting cases and uncommon findings. If post surgical correlation discrepancies have been requested from our clients a statement is added to appear on each report.
The internal quality control program at F&S includes an assessment of all workflow areas and monitors for accuracy and efficiency on a daily and weekly basis. This process allows us to determine which areas may need improvement so we can then create an action plan. Areas that are monitored and tracked are:
- Turnaround time in the following areas: patient registration, image and information routing, radiologist dictation and signature time, transcription and report delivery.
- Volume by client
- Client support: volume, number of calls answered in 10 seconds or less, abandoned calls
- Client reports: call volume, reasons for calls (addendums, etc)
- Exceptions: amount per client and reasons for exceptions
- Radiologist productivity: the number of dictated cases per hour and the number of downloaded cases per hour with times completed
- Capacity planning: radiologist availability, future licensing and credentialing
External quality assessment is available to clients wishing to partner with us on a QA program. Some states require that QA is completed at the client facility. F&S will perform QA on a random selection of images for exam quality and proper protocol utilization. Reporting is available to clients in the program.
